News was released today by Midlands “TSX.V-MEX” Minerals reporting that their first 10 drill targets on the Kaniago West Zone (Ghana) resulted in positive gold results. These are the first drill holes ever on this property and have only tested the western section of the Kaniago gold-in-soil geachemical anomaly. Of the first ten holes, nine holes were mineralized and a new discovery for Midlands. Assay results show consistent mineralization from hole to hole: 4m of 1.67 g/t au KNRC #004, 10m of 1.42 g/t au KNRC #005 and 6m of 1.78 g/t au KNRC #005.
Further drilling is planned on geochemical anomalies along a seven km NNE trend, which is on direct strike with Keegan Resources’ 4M ounce gold deposit.
